Well I never knew that. Seen these many times walking the dogs, but today they looked lovely and fluffy, so I took a phone pic and posted on a wildlife site I belong to. Quick as a flash someone told me it is a broadleaf plantain. Aka - white man's foot, English man's foot. So now I know.
