Ordinary Season

J.F. rang early on to say that their Maluska had died. We will miss poor old Maluska.

Started putting spruce boards on the walls in the new room. Otherwise a rather damp January day. A day for wearing wellingtons and not slipping on the ice into a patch of mud. Piwonia has invested in a pair today. I'm sure they will prove indispensable in tomorrows quest. Maybe Piwonia will record the event for us?

I briefly exchanged my sawdust covered hiking slippers for the wellies and paid homage to the increasingly green fields. There wasn't much of note to comment on, a red car was parked almost in the forest. This is the view out of our main gate.
