Backblip

At the top of the climb up to today's col, the Zwieselbachjoch ridge, we could see right into this glacier through a sink hole - if that's the right term. One of our party has never been to the Alps before and she is absolutely fascinated by all that she's seeing, it's made us look at it all with fresh eyes too!

Tonight's hut was more basic than the ones before (although I've been told all about how much more basic they used to be) and there was only cold water to wash in. There was a shower, but only one between everyone so we settled for a cold stripwash.

I must say that the food in these huts is amazing!
