Day 2

Backblip

The proper walking began today, and we were careful to pace ourselves with not being used to the altitude. 

I've only been above the treeline once before, when I did a week's walking in the French Alps with a couple of friends from my Ramblers, and I'd forgotten how the landscape looks!

Here are E and S, at the first col of the holiday before we ate our lunch. Then down to the hut.*

*Sorry I'm vague about names and places, it's two days ago and German is confusing!
