I'd set the water butt in position yesterday, missing the downpour of the day before but in time for today's heavy showers. 

The garage people (unrelated to the village people) fitted guttering to the rear and a long downpipe, so it had to be made shorter. It's a bit loose and, as I don't want to glue it, I'll try wrapping tape around so the joints fit better.

But it works!
