Behind The Scenes At Boston's Colonial Theatre

This afternoon, we took a behind the scenes tour of the Colonial Theatre -- the oldest continuously operating theatre in Boston (since 1900).  A year ago, it reopened its doors after an extensive and painstaking restoration, and it was really interesting to see both the grand public spaces and the much more utilitarian backstage areas.  This is a detail of the amazing mosaic tile border around the entrance lobby floor, showing the masks of Comedy and Tragedy.  Extra shows how the theatre looks from the actors' perspective on stage.
