Day 7

You can see the hut we stayed in last night in the centre of the photo, and some of our party waiting to find their way up the 'path' to the pass into Italy.   I've put path in inverted commas because there was a rock fall last year and so the way was not clear... in fact it was so obliterated that a young German couple helped us to find a safe route to the top. Some scrambling was involved and then some down climbing, during which I managed to re-pull the back muscle that I'd twinged a couple of days ago! However, some gentle stretching cured it made it possible to walk normally, but for the rest of the day my rucksack was lifted up and placed on my back - thanks all!
