Hard to summon up much enthusiasm today. It's not just the rain water that's dripping away, drop by drop. Democracy is a fragile beast, and when left unprotected is likely to fall. Too close to call, but while prorogation is regularly used to create a hiatus for parliament - like the school holidays only with less well behaved kids - it's not used generally to make attacks on the whole concept of parliamentary democracy. And at a time when we really need to be working across the world to meet the greater challenges of climate change and extinction. Meh, grabbing a Scotch while it's still a protected Geographical Indicator...
