Hawkcraig

It's happy birthday to me today. If you saw my journal yesterday you might remember that yesterday was our wedding anniversary. When all this started many years ago two days of celebration on the trot was nothing. Now of course is a different matter. We were supposed to be away but we've shifted that to later in the year. Today, having looked at the forecast (heavy rain, wind), we decided to take our chances by going east. We were last in Aberdour during the improbable heatwave we had in February. Then the Silver Sands beach was crowded and people were paddling. Not so today!

Nevertheless we had a really good walk on the Fife Coastal path, some great food and the cobwebs were well and truly blown away. The dogs are well exercised too. It hardly rained at all and the sun was shining on and off.

I've blipped the ruinous pier at Hawkcraig Point before. It's very photogenic and is an entry for the derelict challenge with thanks to Marlieske for hosting. I've added an extra of the pier at high tide.

We have some more lovely food for tonight, I've had lots of cards, messages and gifts. The family is visiting at the weekend and I'm having a happy day.
