Jimi

We went to a Jimi Hendrix concert this evening.  It is fifty years, this weekend, since Woodstock and Stratford Playhouse has put on two concerts to celebrate; Santana and Hendrix.

The tribute group, Are You Experienced?, is led by Henrix lookalike, John Cambell, though he is somewhat older than the man himself who was only 27 in 1970 when he tragically died.  They played some excellent, and very loud, music to an enthusiastic audience. Apparently they are looked on as one of the leading Hendrix tribute bands and have been together for over 22 years. Ref - https://areyou-experienced.co.uk/about-us/

The last 'live' Hendrix music I saw was the Hamsters farewell tour concert at Solihull Arts Complex.  This was on 2nd February 2012, one of my early blips

We were sitting a little way from the stage and lighting conditions were not ideal, also I dislike using flash at indoor concerts, so the picture is rough and ready, but it'll have to do!

Late Edit  I've changed the picture to mono as I think it looks a bit better
