Cullicudden

I am up in the Highlands staying at my best friends place. She moved up here around 20 years ago, leaving her parents and two already grown up brothers in Barnsley! Within a few years all were living up here too :-) A and his wife R live out in the Black Isle. They are converting the old school into a house and a wood turning workshop. Both are still a work in progress as A is pretty much doing all the work himself (with family’s help!) as well as holding down a job to pay the bills and woodturning / woodturning workshops. I’m not sure how he fits it all in a day. The house has a long way to go still in many ways but what they have done so far is stunning and it will be an amazing home once totally finished.
It was good to catch up with them then a late lunch at the Storehouse on the A9 before nipping in to Swordale to see L and his girlfriend.
Tonight is my last night up this way, reality tomorrow. Now if only I could win that lottery!
