Flowers in winter

Walking back to the car, having spent a frustrating hour in the barbers ,where a three year old initially kept us amused by his antics then screamed the house down when it came to his turn, I was musing that one of the real standby blip subjects -flowers - was not available during the winter months and yet we were constantly reminded of this by our antipodean blippers, where the flowers are in full bloom. Almost immediately I spotted these tiny little flowers (no more than a couple of inches high ) which were growing in a rockery garden in front of what used to be the old library in Dunbar. What is more they were really there for the taking as the rockery was set above waist level with a retaining wall that ran along the side of the pavement. No need for crawling about at ground leveI or using an angle finder you could easily bring the camera down to their level without the tell tale dirty marks on your on your knees. I started clicking away in macro mode and then though it would be interesting to set these tiny flowers against a background of the building and trees thereby breaking all the rules of perspective and scale. Unfortunately the sky was rather bland so whether my efforts were worthwhile, is for you to judge.
