The annual pre season rugby referees society conference today where we learned about the new laws and interpretation including how to manage the hight tackle and high shoulder charge which should help. International referee J P Doyle gave a very thought provoking talk about challenging current thinking about how to referee a game.

I had the unenviable job of issuing the new society shirts to referees, trying to ensure that everyone had the size they ordered and also paid for any new socks and ties.

Managed to escape the conference in time to have a brisk walk around Mote Park and just in time to see Jack finish its day's work
