On yonder hill ...

Not ours unfortunately .
A day spent moving barley into the wet grain tower. It’s a very slow process as the conveyors and elevators are nearly 60 years old and held together with a wing and a prayer . Back in the day when they were installed , 5 tons an hour capacity was the norm. Now you would add a zero on the end.
Went down the road to check straw as the Farm we get it from was out combining again. Back home and back down again with the baler.
Caught up with the combine by 9 pm and the dampness was coming down so was going to stop any way. The combine broke down so that made the decision for me. . At least that’s 40 acres more done than when I started at 6 pm !
Littlemiss back home from her school Duke of Edinburgh expedition . Seemingly it rained yesterday !!
