Tractor Tuesday....

An early morning rodeo to start the day to bring in a heifer that was needing calved. Luckily we managed to get it out alive, a muckle big Angus bull calf . As we had had to run the whole field full in anyway, went back home and got the tagging stuff and tagged the 7 calves that were needing done then moved them and their mothers to a different field.
Headed down the road to bandit country to bale barley straw that was cut yesterday. The field they were cutting today was still too raw to bale so came home about 2 pm.
Unloaded some trailer loads of bales , then went to check the field of straw again about 6 pm. Decided it would do to bale, so back home got the tractor and headed back down the road to bale. Had it finished by 8pm , and the wheat straw they are cutting tonight looked more like silage due to all the weeds among it ,so it will need to wilt for a while, so headed home again.
Still dry at 10pm, but the wind is getting up and it feels like a change is on the way. It’s going to be a long drawn out harvest I think.
