TWO STEPS FORWARD.....

..... and three steps back - not a new dance but the way things seemed to be going last night.

However, after a visit from the Community Nurse and a lady from the local Hospice this morning, things appear to be moving forward.  A hospital bed is being delivered for Mum tomorrow, so that should be fun as she lives in a first floor, one bedroom flat and the present electric bed, which is very heavy, has to be out of the room before the two men will install the hospital bed.  I guess if nothing else, if I’m there, it will make a good Blip and the thought of what could happen brought this song, by Bernard Cribbins, to mind!

How comforting to know that nature and the seasons just keep rolling along, no matter what;  the Compassion Rose, seen here, is blooming again, the Autumn flowers are budding up and starting to bloom, the tomatoes are ripening at last, as are the Tromboncino courgettes, more cucumbers and we still have a few runner beans.  However, don’t think I will be making much chutney this year - anyone want lots of glass jars?

When I was looking for a quote, I thought of various Blip friends who are golfers when I saw this one:

“There's a reason why golfers
     walk forward
          to their next shot.
It's to move on.”

P.S.  Thank you for all your kind comments for yesterday's Blip and all the good wishes for Mum - sorry, there still won't be many comments, but all yours are very much appreciated.
