Which is more or less what we did, beside rather than on the Avon at Stratford.
Not too many tourists so we had a pleasant day, until the return bus broke down half way and we had to wait an hour for the next scheduled bus to come by and pick us up. The bus company, Stagecoach, is building a reputation for unreliability on this route. We use it about once a month and in the past eight trips it has, not appeared once, been an hour late once, broken down once. Admittedly, one of these, the hour late, was due to an accident blocking the road. But the other two?
