Another photo from the trip to the city of Hikone. I captured this at Genkyu-en Garden, a beautiful Japanese garden adjacent to Hikone Castle. Along with the Drone sign, to my mind, they are now usual set of signs to be spotted at a sightseeing spot.

On the top sign, there is a picture of Hikonyan, a popular cat mascot created by the local goverment. 

This entry from three years ago also takes up the mascot, where you may get a much clearer image of it!

While walking around the castle I contacted another friend of mine who settled to Hikone this April, because her husband works in Hikone. I was glad we could finally meet.
