The Snugbury Bee

Snugbury's Ice Cream Farm, on the A51 just outside Nantwich, is also known for its straw sculptures which are changed every year to two. I blipped the last sculpture a couple of years ago and you can see it here

This year's sculpture is a bee which stands 40ft tall, took 300 hours to build and weighs just over 5 tonnes. The information board also says the frame was built by Harbrook Engineering in Nantwich then transported to Snugbury's where it was stuffed with straw. The strips were created from strips of wood, stained black.

If you want to see the actual location then, as with all my photos, you can click on the location pin.
