Big signs have gone up outside the Civic.

A week on Saturday Salford’s “ Big Day Out” takes place on the lawns.

And - momentarily I guess, as they will be travelling at speed - the Tour of Britain peleton et al will whizz past on Chorley Road (which is also the A6) en route for Manchester.
