Poppydog does EB

She's as flaked out as me, I think!

More catch up stuff: vet (long talk about Poppydog's apparently suddenly deteriorating eyesight, joint issues, other issues I won't mention as she'd be mortified ... basically, she's old and we love her to bits). Then an interminable trawl around Sainsbury. Then off with Dad to the podiatrist and finding his disabled car badge which had got him into a right frantic mess.

In the meantime, LH oversaw the installation of a new oil tank, an unexpected expense due to the oil supplier's refusal to refill our old one; they informed us that it was showing signs of potential splits (white marks on the green plastic) and that it was a danger to society. They're probably right but that's a large and sudden outlay.

This place (a 15 yr old barn conversion) has cost us more in maintenance in 3 yrs than our old house (a 120 yr old carriage house conversion) did in 26. Not impressed.

I keep saying this but never do it: early bed.
