The Next Generation

I would have got the garden clean up finished today but I ran out of steam.  Perhaps another mornings work and it will be ready for spreading compost onto.  I left the camera on the outside table and when the little Wax-eyes were in the baby fruit trees I took some photos.  The bird is enjoying the juicy flesh of a Lemonade fruit.  That is a cross between a  Meyer lemon and a New Zealand grapefruit.  It has less acid and a sweet flavour.  I haven't tried one myself yet but the birds like them.
We had some happy news this morning when our son rang to say he and his wife are expecting a baby.  It will be their first child and our first grandchild.  I am smiling as I type.
