Blackberrying

Walked into town and back. Had a very nice lunch made of some warm autumnal local foods- a bit moorish! Faggots, gravy and macaroni cheese is not a healthy choice !!!

Missing things. Trying not to think of how warm it was in Greece and how much fun it was just a week ago- hey ho. The air smells of woody, soil and grassy autumn here. Lovely that the sky is still blue and the sun still looks lovely casting its afternoon light on trees.

Got 2 decent bags of blackberries, picked by the canal (edit: about 750g so much less than usual), so I can make a greengage and blackberry crumble. Greg the owner of Stroud Brewery said , “Good haul!” as he walked past on the canal tow path.

Visitors tomorrow so I have some tidying to do plus two urgent documents to sort.

This is MrH returning from an area of usually very good blackberry pickings, it was very, very poor this year, decimated by canal works. He popped into shot just as I had lined up my bridge shot so, what was going to be a moody still shot, now features a person!
