1940's Weekend Preparations

Preparations are well underway for the 1940's weekend next Saturday and Sunday in Holt and Sheringham which are linked by the North Norfolk Railway. The shops in Holt have already started dressing their windows to cleverly promote the event and their wares, but also to create an appropriate atmosphere. This collection is from a charity shop window, but most shops do something even if only to put masking tape X's over their windows to 'prevent flying glass from bomb blasts'. It gets really busy in town, although less so than in Sheringham. I always really look forward to the event and obviously it's a photographers dream event!

I had a relaxing morning listening to the Archers and the Reunion, then a tiring afternoon moving some plants around and planting some new ones. To be followed by a lovely sunday dinner round at G & M's this evening.
