Thank You For the Days ..

A Fine Turn of Speed

We waited at the crossroads in St Boswells to see the Tour of Britain whizz by. I've never had much interest in cycling and I wasn't really engaged with the actual race - but the peripherals were fun to see. And these horses in the field behind us were clearly having a wonderful time, galloping round and round.

Last night we were in Kelso Old Parish Church for a concert, part of the Folk Festival. Old Blind Dogs were performing. It's a most unusual building - octagonal. I don't know if that was the reason the sound was so amazing, but it was, and very loud too.  It's a bit of an odd thing to experience in an 18th Century Presbyterian church, our ancestors would have been scandalised. I wonder if they were revolving in their graves outside in the churchyard?
