Mono Monday - Reflecting on the future...

My mate Steve retired today after forty years with the National Grid and CEGB. 

Having preceded him some four and a half years previously I can assure him there's much to look forward to, and that he should not to let his diary get too full. I made the case for Blipfoto as a way to mark each day and stop retirement becoming a blur. His wife however said he wouldn’t need anything in the way of a list she had been compiling.

He was a substation engineer specialising in HV cables, and this lamp is made of a section of XLPE cable.
