Kittiwakes on da Roof

A dull morning with showers.  It warmed up when the sun came out over lunchtime and afternoon.  Cloued over again tonight, and winds picking up from the tail end of Hurricane Dorian.

I've been working on the museum desk all day.  It's been super quiet all day, summer over and most tourists have gone.  I had plenty of photos to work through.  A few hours of peace, some walkies with Sammy, and popped by big Brian and Madeline for a cuppa.  Off to work in the pub later.

The last few weeks have been busy around work with kittiwakes.  They seem to gather up at this time of year, and they like to sit on the rooftop opposite the museum.  They spread themselves evenly along the roof, and then the chattering starts, and what a lovely summer sound they make.  The population has dropped over the years, so I'm always happy to see them out the window.  Taken at pier store, Hay's Dock, Lerwick.
