A Lark

A handful of lark
Buoyant on the strings of the summer morning
Twirling and spinning songs
Overtures and symphonies
Though it has learned no music
In the schools of London or Paris
But is sight-reading instead
The kettledrums of the Atlantic
The white bells of the orchids
The violins of the wind.
