goodbye

Long long day.

Up early for a drive down to Nottingham with husband, father in law and sister in law for a funeral.

Tony, Sam's uncle, passed away on Xmas eve very suddenly.

Tony's funeral was absolutely packed with people having to stand outside as there was no room in the chapel. He was clearly a very popular man.
His daughter read a buddist offering which was hugely resonant:

"If we knew that tonight we were going blind,
We would take a longing, last real look at every blade of grass,
Every cloud formation, every speck of dust,
every rainbow, raindrop - everything."
