Angry mantis

I was standing at the kitchen sink when I saw a cardinal hovering near the window and diving toward it. I wondered what it was doing. Jill and I went outside and saw this mantis in full attack/scare mode. We scared the bird away when we opened the door.

In extras are more deer we saw in the neighbor's yard.
