Life through my eyes

Millennium Wetlands

This morning another trip to the hospital. Wounds healing well and all stitches removed.

Then back and had lunch before heading to the WWT Llanelli Wetlands which is only a few miles down the road.

The heron can usually be seen from the Sir Peter Scott hide, and the kingfishers did make an appearance but stayed about 25m away so not easy to photograph. They stayed until someone else arrived in the hide and spooked them, gone in a flash of blue. I have included them in the extras.

There were 10 cygnets, which you can also see in the extras from the Heron Wing hide. You can almost hear the parents moaning about kids and too much energy.

Also in the extras is a 15 shot panorama stitch showing the whole of Rhosili Bay from Worm’s Head.
