Lynmouth

According to my watch it’s ten to nine and has been since, well, ten to nine this morning. JJ’s watch is also running to suit itself and therefore we were a little late heading out to pick up Terrifo and SueJ50 this morning. Tyre pressures sorted.

It was a bit drizzly for the drive out to Watersmeet but had cleared up nicely by the time we’d parked and walked down to the cafe.

We walked back up to the bridge to take pictures of the waterfalls, experimenting with shutter speeds. Terrifo eventually went off to do her own thing, although I don’t think slipping and rolling into the river had been on the itinerary, but at least she kept her camera dry. Fortunately the sun was shining and she was almost dry within a couple of hours, well externally anyway. There was some slight damage and she may be a tad stiff tomorrow.

We shared a lunch table with three delightful American boys from an International School in Surrey, who were in Devon for the week with a large group plus teachers.

Lynmouth was next on the itinerary and that was busy but we did manage to park fairly easily, took a few pictures and then headed for afternoon tea before driving back to Barnstaple.

This evening I’ve been out with the girls for a very nice meal in a Nepalese restaurant, whilst JJ has headed over to Ilfracombe to meet up with an old friend.
