Clovelly and Hartland Point

Woke to blue sky and set off to Buck’s Mills to meet up with our walking buddies, who were in totally the wrong place and had to be redirected.

We had a two mile taster walk which tested the legs and then headed back down to the beach (extremely large pebbles) for lunch of sandwiches, bought before we left Barnstaple.

We are now ensconced in our bijou accommodation having been to Waitrose, and Len is cooking sausages and mash. We did sit outside earlier enjoying the sunshine and having drinks and nibbles, enjoying the silence of the countryside.

This is the view looking towards Clovelly (entry fee £7.95 per person) and Hartland Point. Tomorrow the walking starts, headache or not.
