London Day 6

Having borrowed a friend's Tate Card we decided to go to Tate Britain to see the newly opened William Blake exhibition. It was very extensive, and extremely good, following Blake's professional life in art and poetry.

That took a while to view so we had a break for lunch in their cafe then visited the Turner galleries.

After leaving the Tate we followed the river up to Westminster, meeting a small group of anti-Brexit protesters outside the Houses of Parliament.  Ann showed her solidarity, see extras, I took photos!

Then over the bridge and a drink in Pret before heading into Waterloo and the train back to Paddington.

This evening we met Emma and Andy at The Bridge House Pub in Little Venice where we had a nice meal and pint then went upstairs to the Canal Cafe Theatre, where Newsrevue a group of four people, plus a pianist, play an array of characters in a political satire of quick fire acts.  Apparently the show is updated weekly to reflect the latest news and is very topical, and very funny. Andy had booked a table for four in front of the stage.
