Getting ready for winter

I mean, really. No sooner is footy finished than hockey's here. FFS. Ottawacker Jr has thus far been kept away from things hockey-related...*** but school has been opening his eyes to the possibilities of gliding on ice. scoring goals, and collecting hockey cards.

I'll have to take him to see the Senators... one game will cure him of any desire to play hockey.

***For complete disclosure, I have to say there is a certain amount of selfishness in this. Hockey time starts at 5 a.m. That's early. And in October/November/December/January/February/March and April, it is bloody cold at that time of day.
