Heading for Rannoch Moor

We set off in sunshine but we knew it wouldn’t last and by the time we got to Tyndrum it was lashing down. Mr C had to go to the Green Welly shop as he realised he’d forgotten his raincoat. He got one for £18 which will be kept in the van.

As we hit Rannoch Moor the wind was so strong he had trouble keeping the van steady. We saw a motor cyclist being blown off the road. He had friends who stopped to help and didn’t seem hurt. Hurrah for Scottish bog.

We thought of staying at the Glen Coe ski centre car park overnight but it wasn’t that pleasant so we drove back to the viewpoint overlooking Loch Tulla and have parked there. It is still lashing rain and very windy but we are slightly sheltered by the Black Mount.
