It never rains but it pours - from life being a social desert, today Linda brought her lunch sandwich up, the Val called to pick up some cooking apples and just after she left Chris called. It has been a beautiful sunny day and quite warm, even hot.

Once the motor home place fixes the fog light the van will pass its MOT and we can take it up to Perth where the other company can sort the rest. We’ll no longer get the price we’d expected but we’ll be rid of it and can get the newer, smaller van home. It’s doubly important to have something under 3.5 tons now as Mr C wouldn’t pass his HGV medical having got this new heart condition

He can pick up on Wednesday and go to Perth on Thursday. Fingers crossed.

I had a bizarre night in the company ofJackie Kay, the Maker. I had fallen asleep during a radio interview with her then moved into a dream where I was sitting beside her in a back room in a mosque. We were watching a group of men talking at the other side of the very austere room. They were wearing the most strikingly beautiful and bright robes. I was longing to take a Blip but knew I couldn’t intrude. Meanwhile Jackie continued to chat quietly.

There are more children with Covid in James’s school. I can just see the situation where he goes back next week and Thomas is sent home.
