Start pedalling

I started going to the gym back in November with a year to go to the big five oh. I'm really proud of myself keeping at it so far, and I'm even beginning to enjoy it.

Today I felt a bit smug as I realised that I am a "regular" compared to this week's influx of New Year's resolution newbies. I wonder how many of them will still be at it in two months time? I heard on the radio that it is the single motivator least likely to have any longevity.

Still, in the spirit of encouragement which I have valued from others, and believe all are entitled to, whatever their motivation - here's my message via the exercise bike - start pedalling. Then keep going...
