Beaune

spent today exploring Beaune. The main photo is just a few of the hundreds of old bottles in the pharmacy of the Hotel-Dieu Hospices de Beaune. Its a hospital dating from the middle ages that was so well planned that some of it was still used up to the 1970's. I was interested to see that a lot of the medications are still in use today, albeit in other forms, such as the ferrous lactate and digitalis in this photo. I wouldn't fancy taking some of them though! Extras are from the Patriarch caves where we went for a tourand the cat chasing a ball on a wall, which I failed to photograph yesterday. Discovered tonight that there are a lot of light projections on the buildings here, some quite elaborate but my favourite included the cat.
