Crackington Haven

Last night I thought I wouldn’t be able to walk today, but after a good night’s sleep I felt absolutely fine.

The weather was much cooler than yesterday, overcast and with a light cooling breeze.

Ahead of us lay the highest cliff in England after Beach Head at 735ft., but we first had to walk down to almost sea level before the ascent of over 180 steps of uneven height, some of which I needed to almost take a run at.

The rest of the walk was almost a doddle and we arrived in Crackington Haven well ahead of schedule. After a leisurely cup of tea we spent a little time on the beach before heading back to base.

I’ve added a few extras as a flavour of the day.
