Unexpected

What a treat and very unexpected too. We'd been hearing the beautiful trills outside as we've been gardening all day and with the lens permanently up facing the buddleia I took a few shots. 

It wasn't until I got it on the computer that I managed to identify it for sure as a male whitethroat as it was darting in and out of cover.  A whitethroat in the garden! A first here. What a delight!
