Independence Day Parade

Every year on this day of celebration there is a parade through the downtown streets. This year, it started earlier than ever before. I heard bands before 8:00 while sitting on my patio, but didn't think any Mexican celebration would begin that early. I was wrong, because by the time I arrived it was already half over. That meant I missed all the military displays, but was able to see all the school marchers. I was amazed by the variety of hair adornments the young ladies employed (at least a half dozen in this one photo alone).
