If you can't beat them...

Abington Services

I took the campervan and picked up Kanyl around 10:00.  He dropped his car off for servicing and we filled the tank then headed north.  By lunchtime we had reached Abington services.   While we were parked in the services a man came round picking up litter.  Just in front of us he found half a loaf of bread.  Using his "picker upper" he shook the bread out and binned the plastic.  Almost instantly Rooks appeared.  The man in yellow is the litter picker so it shows how quickly they appeared.

Then off we went north again.  The weather varied between sunny and torrential rain.  As we passed Insh I had a good view of the marshes where 45 years ago I worked as a volunteer on the RSPB reserve, doing maintenance work and bird surveys.

On to Daviot where we were booked in for the night on a cracking little site which we have used before.  Nicely settled in we had a meal and spent the evening quietly reading and talking.
