Light Filled Birthday

Up to Manchester today with Paul and Beth, to celebrate Julia's birthday. She and Tom had made us a roast chicken and baked Camembert lunch, and then went out into the sunshine for a walk through beauty beside the Mersey River in Didsbury, see extras. We even watched a mink running along the other bank for quite a while, discussing what animal it might be.

And then back to her's and Natalie's flat for prosecco and a lemon drizzle cake made by Beth and Mim late last night. A lovely day ended with dosas at a small S Indian place.

Well, not quite ended. Long drive back to Sutton, with a major holdup at one point, still, we are here now.

Gratefuls:
- our house has passed its EPC rating (the guy came round before we left)
- this gorgeous young lady that was given to us
- Mike's heroic driving. As usual.
