Way Out.

You get a professional welcome from the security staff and a warm welcome from other folks when visiting the Houses of Parliament at the Palace of Westminster. But the way out is anonymous.

Our MP arranged our visit. And as a bonus we were afforded the opportunity to visit the Jewel Tower - opposite the Victoria Tower and with a quiet outdoor area where we enjoyed coffee in sunshine, before heading towards St Jame’s Park and beyond.

This evening we went to County Hall, former home of the Greater London Council; it’s now a public arts & entertainment venue. We enjoyed Witness for the Prosecution, (Agatha Christie novel) - but the seats upstairs in the gallery were cramped and many had some form of restricted view.

We walked back through Parliament Square, Westminster was quiet, as the Government has been prorogued, and doesn’t probably sit until 14 October 2019.... well, that’s the plan just now!
