And then it opened.

I’ve walked across Tower Bridge a good few times over the years, and never seen it opening. Today was looking like being just another day, then suddenly we heard a siren... and looked back; the traffic stopped, and the bridge opened to let the Dixie Queen pass. A slick operation.

We spent much of the afternoon walking West along the South Bank walkway - lots to see, people watching and iconic views. And we checked out my old HQ - they’ve clearly gone; office now being redeveloped, always a great Thames side location. We wandered through Borough Market - never disappoints - and eventually walked towards Trafalgar Square, where we enjoyed live music and late afternoon sun.

Popped up to Chinatown and Piccadilly this evening, bustling as usual.
