What a sunset!

I was going to post either the spuds I dug up this afternoon or a bubblefest in town. At the last the sunset pipped them both. We've had some magnificent sunsets this week. Last night was as good as this but I was not in a position to capture it as I was walking with staff to the canteen for a bite to eat after the match.

Today was just as good. No clouds for stunning reflections, just a firey, intense and graduated sky. Why are they so good at the moment? Perhaps a couple more days of fine weather leading up to the equinox on 21st September then, according to the weather people, we're in for a some rather more seasonal autumnal conditions.

First Rock Choir meeting of the new term this morning. We're learning Since You've Been Gone by Rainbow for our first song. Then spud bashing this afternoon. Spuds keep you warm three times, once when planting, once when digging them up, and once when eating them. Digging them up is the hardest of all! A satisfactory harvest all in all.
