Great Egret

Very distant (thus fuzzy), one of 25 continuous shots I took starting with takeoff. Great egrets are somewhat uncommon here. Late afternoon at a marsh near our hotel, with a high viewing tower.  The main outing of the day was to the Cap de Formentor--the long peninsula that forms the extreme northeastern end of the island of Mallorca.  It was adventurous.  We started very early, but when we reached the tower at the top the small parking area was already almost full. Our two vans had to maneuver extensively to park. Leaving 90 minutes later we squeezed our way out, and on the way down we passed several dozen cars in line on the narrow road up.  Utterly crazy.   But we did get good views of Eleanora's falcon and the Balearic warbler.  Neither were close enough for a decent photo.
