Stilt Steps (a pair)

A double image of the same Black-winged_stilt marching along. We were exploring the salt pans in or near S'illot, which is a small town not far from our hotel on Mallorca. These stilts are virtually identical to the Black-necked_stilts found in the Americas in many coastal locations. I haven't blipped them, but have frequently seen them--especially in the west, as mentioned here. It was a good outing, with somewhat less humidity than on previous days here. We had a variety of shorebirds--best was perhaps a close curlew sandpiper. AND (I almost forgot): We had a Hoopoe (see the extra)--though very distant, in the shade and with an odd reddish background
