Apparently every clown's make-up is meant to be unique and you register your design by painting it on an egg and sending it to the Clown Egg Register.  And you can read even more about it here.  And in more clown trivia, the music associated (in Britain) with clowns is actually a piece called Entry Of The Gladiators by Julius Fucik.

It was Friday and because I'm on call from 5 tomorrow morning, I treated myself to an early getaway - a whole 30 minutes earlier than usual.  It is lovely outside at the moment and I really enjoyed walking around with the sun on my back.

Here's hoping the phone does not ring tomorrow morning.  I'm not hopeful though.  We told someone yesterday really specifically what they had to do to avoid problems.  They didn't bother following our advice - what do experts know, eh? - and immediately phoned us to complain that "it didn't work"...  

That was a fun conversation.

Me: "Mmm, it didn't work, you say.  Let's have a look.  Ah yes, we said in our mail that out of the 2 options; A or B, you should definitely choose A because B won't work.  And you chose B. And it didn't work. Never mind, you can't be right all of the time.  Try it again with Option A.  Oh gosh, would you look at that, Option A worked - who would have thought it?"
